Is my jam

I am an award-winning digital storyteller, and I like to think of myself as a Jaqueline-of-all-Trades! My diverse skill set spans design, marketing, content creation, and creative direction, and I cannot wait to work with you to bring your stories to life!

First thing’s First…

I’M A MINI CREATIVE STUDIO!

THESE ARE PROJECTS I SCRIPTED, SHOT, EDITED & DIRECTED.

I love being deeply engaged in all levels of storytelling. I specialize in creating productions from start-to-finish, including leading the creative direction, writing the scripts, storyboarding the project, coaching the talent, shooting and editing footage, mastering audio and then creating exciting marketing copy and campaigns to make the project shine!

ROGERS CYBERSECURE CATALYST

Brief: Get adults of all ages who are on the fence about applying for the program to decide “yes” by showcasing alumni and sharing their successes.

The idea: We decided to conduct pre-interviews with the alumni and build scripts based on their answers to our questions to keep their stories authentic and personable. It was important that they felt like real people so anyone could relate and see themselves within them.

My roles: Director, researcher, interviewer, scriptwriter, storyboarder, marketing plan & execution

BESWICK TREE SERVICE COMMERCIAL

Brief: Get new and returning clients who are looking for agricultural services to get excited about what Bewswick can offer by creating a movie trailer-esque commercial meant to inspire trust in their brand.

The idea: We filmed Beswick employees on location for several weeks while simultaneously interviewing staff and customers to build a sense of what they loved most around the brand. From there we researched compelling movie trailers and created a script that followed a similar structure.

The results: We shared it to socials and various television networks and saw a 30% increase in sales over a three-week period with continued growth on the horizon!

My roles: Director, researcher, interviewer, scriptwriter, storyboarder, videographer, audio and video editor, marketing plan & execution.

OSL: WHY WORK AT OSL

This one of several video projects we’ve completed with OSL.

Brief: Engage with potential employees, with a focus on those who are looking to enter into the mobile or tech sphere, who are interested in working with us.

The idea: I interviewed current employees and corporate staff to understand what they loved about the company, then I built a script that would give an effective breakdown of the best perks they would receive when they joined OSL.

My roles: Director, researcher, interviewer, scriptwriter, storyboarder, editing support, marketing plan & execution

ROGERS CYBERSECURE HERO VIDEO

Brief: Get potential students, with a focus on adults who are considering a career change, to apply for the program by showcasing concrete data points and potential avenues to success.

The idea: I conducted research on the program while also interviewing staff and students, to build a script that would inspire new students to see that enrolling in the program was the smartest choice they could make for the next part of their career journey.

My roles: Director, researcher, interviewer, scriptwriter, storyboarder, marketing plan & execution

AGH'S ARTFUL MOMENTS

Brief: Get the attention of family members of those with dementia who are looking for a supportive and engaging space to help maintain social relationships and mental health by showcasing the program’s strengths.

The idea: I filmed the participants and volunteers over a number of weeks as they engaged with the program, conducting interviews and testimonials to get a sense of the program’s offerings and benefits. All this was done to build a grant to gain financial support to continue offering more resources for incoming participants.

The results: We secured further funding of over $50,000 from the Canada Arts Council and Ontario Arts Council, as well as community donations, which meant we were able to expand the program.

My roles: Director, researcher, interviewer, scriptwriter, storyboarder, videographer, audio and video editor, marketing plan & execution.

STEPHEN LEWIS TRIBUTE

Brief: Create a tribute to the Canadian legend, Stephen Lewis, to be presented as a gala celebrating his incredible life, work and gifts to the McMaster Archives.

The idea: I interviewed Mr. Lewis’ family, McMaster academics and staff to get a true sense of who he was. I also scoured hours of archives of his work to find the best audio clips of his speeches, examples of his incredible writing and more. I wrote scripts and put together footage to create a tribute that would drive an emotional punch and clearly demonstrate our thanks on behalf of McMaster, and his lasting impact on the world.

The results: Mr. Lewis was moved, as were those at the gala. He asked for a copy of the video after the event and apparently has shown it to friends and family.

My roles: Director, researcher, interviewer, scriptwriter, storyboarder, videographer, audio and video editor, marketing plan & execution.

ACURA COMMERCIALS

Brief: Get new customers who are concerned that they can’t afford a car to understand that buying an Acura is easy by reminding them that anyone can using a fun, lighthearted approach!

The idea: I created a script and storyboard that I pitched to Harrison’s mom, and then chased him around all afternoon to make sure we got the shots we needed! We ended up improvising some things, but Harrison was a dream to work with and the commercial was a hit.

The results: We saw a massive increase in social media response to the commercial and an uptick in folks coming into the Hamilton dealership. Harrison was an immediate star.

My roles: Director, scriptwriter, storyboarder, videographer, audio and video editor, marketing plan & execution.

ACURA COMMERCIALS

Brief: Get new and returning customers who are worried that they can’t afford a new vehicle to know that purchasing an Acura is simple and doesn’t need to be such a serious affair using our adorable mascot, Harrison!

The idea: Building on the success of the previous commercial, we decided to craft a follow-up. Once again, I worked with Harrison’s mom to make sure we were keeping him happy while continuing his adorable tale of purchasing a car.

The results: We saw another fantastic increase in social media response to the commercial and an uptick in folks coming into the Hamilton dealership. Harrison continued down his path of stardom!
